Nepheline syenite is a light-colored, coarsely crystalline, silica-poor, feldspathic, plutonic magmatic rock composed largely of nepheline, sodium feldspar and alkali feldspar.
It does not contain free silica, high alkali and alumina content, high melting power and narrow melting range are its features that make it ideally suited to the glass industry.
Sectors in which it is used:It is used as a starting material in the production of glass, ceramics and paint.
