They are preferred due to their high SiO₂ and low Fe₂O₃ contents, high wear resistance, low brittleness and economical nature. It is prepared in different sizes between 0-16 cm.
Sectors in which it is used:They are used as grinders in ball mills in the ceramics, cement and mining industries to grind raw materials to the desired size.
